Honda facing deadline on revealing their new 2012 Civic due to the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear leak situation in Japan. The disasters have forced the Japanese automaker to make tough decisions whether to slow down the production or to impose temporarily shut down. Fortunately, the north America assembling their own Honda. Most spare parts are made there, so no worry regarding the spare part shortage.
The new 2012 Honda Civic Coupe predicted to be a little lighter and offer easier maneuver compared to its previous series. Honda claimed that the new series of Civic Coupe is fuel consumption friendly. The body has gone through a little bit trimming. For the US market region, especially in Chicago, there 3 models offered: Si, Hybrid, and natural gas. All models focusing on fuel economy usage which has been Honda’s goal year after year.
John Mendel – Executive Vice President of Sales for American Honda Motor Co.Inc. states, “The new 2012 Honda Civic Coupe is expected to be the only car in the market which includes all such as fuel economy usage, sporty performance, smart packaging, also alternative and long-term value.” The 2012 Civic Hybrid equipped with a lithium-ion battery and a larger 1.5liter i-VTEC engine with combined fuel economy usage up to 45 mpg.
