Busy year for the Japanese carmaker after unveiling the 2012 Honda Civic, they leaked the details for the 2012 Honda CR-V crossover. The concept for the next generation of 2012 CR-V was proposed back in July with the test drive took shortly after the teaser dropped, and now, it is not in the form of concept anymore as Honda hinted that the crossover will be ready in the dealerships late this year.
We just hope that the new 2012 Honda CR-V crossover is in the tip-top shape so it will not like its siblings which had to go recalling program. The leaked details have been top discussion on some of online forums and we got after we scooped for awhile. So, what does the new 2012 CR-V has to offer?
Well, the base 2012 Honda CR-V crossover will be offering the reasonable 2.4L gasoline but the power has been lowered from 180 horsepower into 175 horsepower. No official statement why the Japanese carmaker cut down some amount of powers, but our biggest prediction is that it has a thing or two to do with the fuel consumption and lower emissions.
The engine of the 2012 Honda CR-V crossover is brand new which has code name “New-K25”. Turns out that the new engine of the 2012 CR-V is the other version of 2.5L four-cylinder that will be able to give power output around 201 horsepower.
Just like its sibling, the new 2012 Honda Civic, the 2012 CR-V equips with 5-speed automatic, instead of the newer 6-speed units which are at the top of the automotive industry.
