What is wrong with US-spec Honda Civic sedan and US market? Obviously, the US market is not the one to blame, which means that we can throw all the mistakes at the US-spec Civic, but that is not what we want. Okay, Honda is the one which is guilty here as they fail to sell the US-spec Civic sedan. Yes… the sales figures for the Civic sedan are far from what Honda as expected. And now, Honda is about to change that.
If you are on the Honda’s position, what will you do to make the US-spec Civic able to snatch some of the sedan segment? One word says it all – redesigned. Phew… it is about time the Japanese carmaker brings the Honda Civic back to drawing board and analyzes what had they done wrong. It sounds like the R&D department has to work overnight to solve this problem.
As we quoted from autoevolution.com, Honda has been listing some homework to bring back the glory of US-spec Civic sedan. An inside tipper stated that the upgrades will be targeting the cabin because this part is getting more critics than other parts. The improvement programs will be happening soon as the Civic sedan has been scheduled for arrival in 2013, a bit changed as it would be arrive in 2014. The sooner the better, right? Let’s hope that the upgrading programs do not use the parts from overseas because we don’t want Honda to delay the arrival of the Civic sedan like what happens on the 2012 CR-V.
