What is the idea of revealing the 2012 Honda CR-V Concept SUV via video? It makes us confuse as the CR-V Concept was presented at the Orange County International Auto Show in Anaheim – California. It could be as market teaser as 2012 Honda CR-V has one of the best-selling vehicles in SUV market. And let’s hope that the CR-V presented in video is the same with the leaked images that we covered couple days ago.
Anyway, the 2012 Honda CR-V presented on the video revealed that the body has more aggressive body shape compare to the previous model. What surprise us is the changes on the powerplant and the interior of the 2012 CR-V. The new SUV is powered by a new 2.5L 4-cylinder and to make load more people, the Japanese carmaker has added third bench which make the new CR-V is able to load up to 7 people. The additional bench refers to “a more accommodating and spacious design.”
John Mendel –Executive Vice President of Sales for American Honda stated, “The 2012 CR-V Concept strongly hints at the more dynamic and refined look of the upcoming model. As the best-selling SUV in each of the past four years, the 2012 CR-V promises to build on its highly successful formula with even more style, innovative features and higher fuel economy.”
As soon as the 2012 Honda CR-V SUV gets the debut at 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show, it will hit the production floor. The European customers will be able to get their hand on the new SUV in the fall next year as for the US customers will get the JDM version of CR-V in December.
