Lexus LFA Nurburgring Package Sets New Lap Time at the ‘Ring

It is confirmed that the Lexus LFA Nurburgring package has set new lap time at the Nurburgring track or for short as the ‘Ring. Just yesterday that we thought the twitter about the LFA Nurburgring supercar just hoax. But the Japanese luxury carmaker slapped our face by releasing a video footage of the setting new lap time at the ‘Ring.

Yes, folks… The Lexus LFA Nurburgring package supercar has lapped the Nordschleife in amazing 7:14.64! So, who was the man behind the steering of the LFA Nurburgring package supercar? It is none other than Akira Iida with the help of the Bridgestone Potenza RE070 tires. Perfect formula to create new lap record, don’t you think?

So, what does this new lap record means for Lexus? Well, it means multiple victories. For instance, the obvious one is that the mathematical aspect which puts the Lexus LFA Nurburgring package supercar at the top of list for cars that able to round around the ‘Ring. The other victories are the LFA supercar is able to outrun the previous lap time that was recorded under the name of Porsche 911 GT2 RS (7:18), Corvette ZR-1 (7:19.63) and the fellow Japanese Nissan GT-R (7:24).

What makes Lexus puts more than enough to set this new lap time record at the ‘Ring with the LFA Nurburgring package supercar is that to honor the death of Lexus’ Chief test Driver – Hiromu Naruse. Just so you know, the things got a bit too emotional for Lexus because Hiromu Naruse died one year ago near the Nurburgring.
