Minor Upgrades for 2012 Lexus IS

Lexus has been putting all its models for new make-over and this time is for the 2012 Lexus IS range. As we have predicted before that the budget on the make-over thing is limited, so not much of changes applied on the 2012 IS sedan. What we know is that the luxury Japanese car maker has set a sedan and convertible to the facelifted 2012 Lexus IS.

On the performance part, the 2012 Lexus IS sedan will be powered by two different engines namely the standard 2.5L V6 for the 2012 Lexus IS 250 which able to give output around 204 horsepower and the 2012 Lexus IS 350 will get the 3.5L V6 that unleash 306 horsepower.

For the European model of the 2012 Lexus IS sedan, it gets the Euro 5 compliancy for the luxury 2012 Lexus IS-F version which carries 5.0L V8 with 423 horsepower. That particular engine can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.7 seconds the top speed reaches 270 km/h (168mph) which is the same as the previous generation of the IS-F.

Lexus offers rear-wheel or all-wheel drive configurations for the two base models of 2012 Lexus IS sedan. Want to feel the pure rear-wheel drive configuration? Lexus added F-Sport package to the range of 2012 IS.

The 2012 Lexus F-Sport package loads with stiffer suspension, revised steering, and 18-inch of alloy wheels (the 19-inch wheels are also available) with a  dark finish. On the exterior, the F-Sport gets a front lip spoiler, rear deck and dark-chrome front grille.

The standard features on the 2012 Lexus IS sedan are 13-speaker sound system, Bluetooth, iPod and USB connectivity, and bi-xenon headlights, 14-speaker Mark Levinson sound system, a touchscreen navigation system and Lexus Enform telematics and connectivity feature.
