Mitsubishi really taking the matters of creating environmentally friendly car very seriously. On the 2011 Geneva Motor Show, they reveal the green car which entitled “2011 Mitsubishi Concept Global Small”. From the name, Mitsubishi clearly sets their goals in producing car based on three important ideas: compact, affordability, and high fuel efficiency. Mitsubishi also announced that the Concept Global Small will be replacing the Colt Supermini.

The Mitsubishi Motors North America spokesperson says, “The 2011 Mitsubishi Concept Global Small will be coming to the U.S. on 2013. We consider this as an aggressive program. We haven’t got the technical specification so we can’t confirm at the moment”. Not much to share but Mitsubishi released the news that the Concept Global Small would get a 1.0 to 1.2-liter engine with a regenerative braking system, an idling-stop mechanism and new upgraded CVT.

The focus of 2011 Mitsubishi Concept Global Small is on fuel economy usage which has the fully support from the new engines and it is intended to reduce running distance in engine, continuously variable transmission, brakes and tires. Not only that, the Concept Global Small will also enhance the weight trimming on the certain vehicle parts and a body shape that greatly reduces aerodynamic resistance. This five-seats car worth $ 13,317.
