There is no doubt that the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show is not only intended as car exhibition, but also the perfect venue for car manufacturers that are planning to expand their market sales. And even if the show is in its early hours, we have seen a fair share of interesting models being prepared for the unveiling at the show.
Nissan as one of the participants at the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show stated that new version of 2011 Nissan Tiida is planned to go on sale globally in 165 countries. The hatchback built by Nissan as a tool to bring to the brand young families, will be available on the market starting next month and Nissan is expecting to reach all target markets by 2014, but the prices has not yet announced.
The 2011 Nissan Tiida is being presented in China for the first time, while the revised Tiida comes with a few little extras for the local market, as some type of tribute brought to the country that has single-handed pulled the auto industry from the pit that was in 2009.
For China market, the revised 2011 Nissan Tiida will be assembled in the DongFeng Nissan Huade Plan in Guangzhou and will be offered as a first-time offering from a Japanese car maker in the country, complete with a turbocharged engine.
The engine is the Japanese automaker’s HR16DE unit which in the Tiida will be coupled with an array of low-emission technologies Nissan calls PURE DRIVE. These features include dual injectors and an Xtronic CVT with an auxiliary transmission.
The 2011 Nissan Tiida is intended as a family car, the new Tiida brings with it an increased wheelbase (by 100mm) as well as an extensively revised interior.
