Nissan LEAF will be adding new dealers to make the electric vehicle to be more accessible in UK in the form of nation-wide network. These dealers will not only able to market the LEAF, but also service the pure electric vehicle that was won the European car of the year. Currently, there are 32 owners of Nissan LEAF in UK itself. The usage of electric vehicle or hybrid in UK has been improving because the campaigns to reduce the fuel emission have been buzzing for quite some times now.
Nissan LEAF is not alone because other electric vehicle has set its foot as government vehicles in some UK regions. The LEAF dealers in UK will be equipping with EV and quick small chargers and should be completed in 2012. The staffs on the Nissan LEAF retailers will be having full-training from EV Relationship Manager which functions as a single point of contact at the dealership for LEAF customers.
As an full electric vehicle, the Nissan LEAF is powered by an 80kW synchronous electric motor with a 24kWh lithium-ion battery pack as its main power that is connected to a direct drive transmission. The fuel economy usage for the LEAF scores at 106 mpg for city and 92 mpg for highway. The power output is around 107 horsepower and able to drive along up to 100 miles on full-charged condition and depends on the terrains.
