Subaru BRZ

The Japanese headquarter of Subaru just released the commercial for the JDM version of the BRZ. What surprises us is the fact there is no sportscar theme what-so-ever as the main idea for this ad campaign is that Subaru BRZ is the perfect first car for newly weds or couple who postpone to have babies. For short, the BRZ affordable coupe sportscar is a great family car if the family has no babies, at least not for now. We have to credit Subaru for proposing this ad that far from the general conception of the BRZ.

Form the first time we reported the Subaru’s project on an affordable sportscar with Toyota, our heads and postings were all about sportscar and how sporty the coupe design, the awesome 50/50 weight distribution, the reliable and powerful engine, and of course, the highlight of this coupe sportscar is the pure Japanese RWD which has been Subaru’s signatures for years.

The storyline of the Subaru BRZ commercial ad video which you can watch here is about father which is having a difficult time with its growing son; you know, when teenagers are claiming its own world of it won and don’t want their parents to involve which eventually will bring to “silent moment”. And the story goes on after some years and the son returns home to meet his girlfriend with his parents. As the son looked at the garage where his father is usually be, taking care of his old Subaru, the mother told him that his father is at “usual place”.

As soon as the son checked out the garage, the father wasn’t there with his old Subaru. The father is on the side of the street to admire the Subaru BRZ. And then… the “silent moment” was over as the son offered the father to take the BRZ for a drive. Happy ending, folks…
