The US pricing for the new members of Toyota Prius are here. The cars we are talking about are the Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid and Toyota Prius V. As always, both cars offers not only the experiencing hybrid driving, but also opportunities to make the Earth a better place for living which of course, only some people will be able to do that. Now, let’s see what the Prius Plug-In Hybrid and Prius V have to impress theirUScustomers, shall we?
The Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid hatchback costs $32,000 as it is an entry-level for plug-in hybrid in this segment. The Japanese automaker also offers other variant namely the Prius Plug-In Hybrid Advances with price tag at $39,525.
Moving on, the Toyota Prius V which serves at family cars hatchback sets the price at $26,400. Obviously, there is one thing that differentiate between the Prius V hybrid and Prius Plug-In Hybrid and Prius Plug-In Hybrid Advanced. Both Prius Plug-In Hybrid and Prius Plug-In Hybrid Advanced are qualified to receive federal tax as much as $2,500 due the 4.4-kWh battery pack usage.
Generally, the Toyota Prius series will be marketed in 14 western and East Coast US next spring, as for the full 50 state availability of the hybrid has scheduled to arrive in 2013.
Okay, it seems like the Japanese carmaker forgets one thing about their green Prius hybrid: charging infacstructure. Not that they not aware of that, they pretty much know about it because if you buy one of the Toyota Prius series, you will get a Levinton 16Amp, Level 2 charging station for $999. That amount of price has included the installation charges and will be starting from early next month.
The reservation for the Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid, Toyota Prius V, and Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid Advanced will begin in October.
